Nicholaus Antone Ex has lent his powerful presence
to film, television, music video, and recordings. Feature credits include
Secret Agent 00-Soul; The Last Boy Scout; Relentless II...
Dead On; Keeper of the City; Pacific Heights; Grand
Canyon; House Party; Common Ground; Far Out Man;
and Call Me Mr. Tibbs. On television, he appeared in the television
film, Crimes of the Century, and in Roots: The Next
Generation; The Night the City Screamed; It Takes All Kinds;
A Hero Ain't Nothin But a Sandwich; and Disco Grandfather.
He assisted director Lamont Johnson during the filming of
Lipstick at Universal Studios, and wrote, produced, directed and starred
in Corley Diggs, a 30-minute, 16mm color film awarded Best Picture
and Best Screenplay at the Cinemedia Film Festival, where he also received
a special prize for Best Actor, the first and only time such an award has
been made.
Equally at home on guitar and lead vocals, Mr. Ex recorded "Ludicrous" with
TreyLewd for Warner Brothers Records, and performed with George Clinton and
the Funkedelics. He is currently a member of Milky Way Express,
specializing in "a little bit of everything" -- jazz, R&B, funk, rock,
and more. He appears in Warner's "Inc Thang Band" music video, directed
by Tommy Chong, produced by Archie Ivy and Eric Wooster, and in "Damian
Dame."
His education includes studies at the Mafundi Institute, as well as acting
training with Raymond Burr, George Sanford Brown and Glenn Turman; theater/dance
with Marge Champion; and musical training with Quincy Jones.
Mr. Ex recently appeared with Charles Wright and the Watts 103rd Street
Rhythm Band at Watts Towers Amphitheater.
Look for him in the Trial scene in Tim Allen's recent film, The Shaggy Dog.
